- does it exist to facilitate offline activity?
- does it encourage connection between people and community building?
- Does it flatten the curve of wealth distribution in it's function and organisational structure?
- Does it improve the world or the environment (waste reduction, emission reduction)
However, a huge cause for modern wealth disparity comes from the way that software projects are funded: employees do the work once and then shareholders get paid infinity times infinity, in the form of global reach and subscription based pricing. So it is very important to me to experiment with ways of getting paid for development work successfully- just by the hour and for costs incurred- in the hope that the amplification effects of software flow into the world rather than someone's pocket.
In this case I have invested the time into making the software myself, tracking and publishing this expense and inviting people to contribute to these cost until they are covered. If you like what I have made, send me a message or some dollars.

This land
This project was made while living on and traveling through the traditional lands of the Larrakia, Arrernte, Gimuy Walubara Yidinji and Awabakal people. These people have cultures that make sense for the wellbeing of this land and its people.
`I don't need an app to help me ask my neighbours for a banana tree!
No, absolutely, you don't. It is strange how much we look to our devices for guidance on what to do next. Stranger still that we would let oligarchs control those devices. The intention of this project is to be a stepping stone on the pathway away from that reality.People gifting trees on this site are encouraged to help their recipients to plant the trees they receive, because embodied learning is more effective than passive reading or watching. There is nothing new about rituals of knowledge sharing or the exponential ability of plants to replicate themselves. We are using technology to crystalise an intention to use both of these phenomena to make the world better (in the form of more bananas). And yes, the technology part is superfluous.
